Another Potato Success!!
Cambridgeshire arable farmer, Peter Day, took delivery of a two pallet system during March 2008. Peter runs a family orientated potato business bagging 20 and 25kg bags.
Persistent difficulties in sourcing reliable labour and health and safety issues prompted Peter to seek an alternative stacking method. Having read about robotic palletizing solutions in the farming press he visited a number of potential suppliers before opting for a Buffaload system.
Buffaload's revolutionary vacuum head and the thoroughness of the sales team persuaded Peter that Buffaload offered the best solution.
The installation into Peter's existing grading shed was completed within 5 days. After just one days training the users were totally confident in using the robot. As part of the installation a Buffaload trainer is on hand to oversee the first production run.
Peter and his sons are absolutely delighted with their Buffaload system.
"Today we graded 40 tonnes by lunch and didn't feel like we had done a days work", quoted Peter Day.
"What would have taken all day was now completed by lunch and we can run with only two men instead of three".
When asked whether Buffaload could have done anything to make the installation and training easier, Peter quipped, "Yes, you could have delivered it ten years ago!"
